Remove ends of yams and place in pot. Cook, cover with water and bring to a
boil. Simmer about 30 minutes until tender. Drain and peel and slice 1/2"
slices. Cover the bottom of a 9" by 12" pan with half of the yams. Sprinkle
with half of the brown sugar, butter, and salt. Repeat the layer of yams,
brown sugar, butter and salt. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Sprinkle
with marshmallows. Bake about 5 minutes more or until browned.
